* Ramadan lasts 29 or 30 days. The 30th fast is kept only if the Shawwal moon is not sighted on the evening of the 29th; otherwise Eid al-Fitr is the next day.
Times are local time in Jeddah (Asia/Riyadh). Sehri ends when Fajr begins and Iftar is at sunset (Maghrib). Fast length is counted from Fajr to Maghrib. Dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar, and local moon sighting may move them by a day.
How the times change through Ramadan in Jeddah
Between the first and the 29th fast, Sehri in Jeddah moves about 18 minutes earlier (5:40 AM to 5:22 AM), and Iftar moves about 13 minutes later (6:17 PM to 6:30 PM). As a result the fast grows longer by about 31 minutes, from 12h 37m to 13h 08m.
The official Umm al-Qura method is used throughout Saudi Arabia: Fajr at 18.5° and Isha a fixed 90 minutes after Maghrib (many mosques extend this to 120 minutes during Ramadan). If your mosque follows a different convention, choose it above and the timetable updates. Sehri and Iftar don't depend on the Asr setting, so only the method changes these times.

If Ramadan begins on Monday 8 February 2027, Sehri in Jeddah ends at 5:40 AM, when Fajr begins, and the fast is opened at Iftar at 6:17 PM. These times use the Umm al-Qura University, Makkah method, which is the usual choice in Saudi Arabia.
How long is the fast in Jeddah during Ramadan 2027?
From Fajr to Maghrib, the first fast lasts about 12h 37m and the 29th about 13h 08m. The longest fast of the month is about 13h 08m and the shortest about 12h 37m.
Why does my mosque in Jeddah show an earlier Sehri time?
Many mosques and printed calendars stop Sehri a few minutes before Fajr as a precaution (ihtiyat), so nobody eats into the time of the fast by mistake. This timetable shows the start of Fajr itself, and you can choose a 5 or 10 minute margin above the table. Mosques may also use a different calculation method.
When will Ramadan 2027 start in Jeddah?
On the Umm al-Qura calendar, Ramadan 1448 begins on Monday 8 February 2027, with the first Sehri in Jeddah ending at 5:40 AM. The actual start in Saudi Arabia depends on moon sighting and local announcements and may differ by a day; if it does, tick "Ramadan started a day later here" and the Jeddah timetable moves by one day.
