Why remembrance of Allah matters
Dhikr, the remembrance of Allah, is one of the simplest and most frequently encouraged acts of worship. It needs no special place or preparation, and it can fill small moments of the day: after prayer, while walking, or before sleep. The Quran links it directly to peace of heart.
Who have believed and whose hearts have rest in the remembrance of Allah. Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest!
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ذِكْرًۭا كَثِيرًۭا
O ye who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance.

Tips for using the tasbih counter
- Add it to your home screen. In your phone's browser menu choose "Add to Home Screen" to open the counter like an app.
- Count without looking. The tap area is large and your phone vibrates at each target, so you can keep your eyes lowered and your attention on the words.
- Use a custom target. Choose "Free count" and enter any number, for example 7, 10 or 1,000, or leave the target at 0 to count freely.
- Undo mistakes. Use the Undo button or Backspace if you tapped twice by accident.
Frequently asked questions
How many times should I say SubhanAllah after prayer?
A well-known practice is SubhanAllah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times and Allahu Akbar 34 times after each obligatory prayer, based on Sahih Muslim 596. Another narration (Sahih Muslim 597) mentions 33 of each followed by "La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah..." once to complete one hundred. Both are authentic, and you can alternate between them.
Is it allowed to use a digital tasbih counter?
Counting is a means to help you keep track, and many scholars consider counters, prayer beads and fingers all permissible. Many scholars note that counting on the fingers is preferable where possible, since the Prophet encouraged counting on the fingertips, saying they will be asked and made to speak (Sunan Abi Dawud 1501). A counter is especially helpful for larger numbers, such as 100.
Does the counter save my count?
Yes. Your current count, preset, completed rounds and total are saved in your browser's local storage on this device, so they remain after you close the page. Nothing is sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data will reset the counter.
Can I use the counter with a keyboard?
Yes. Press Space or Enter to add one, and Backspace to undo the last count. On phones, simply tap the large circle; if your device supports vibration, it will vibrate when you reach each target.
What does tasbih mean?
Tasbih literally means declaring Allah free of every imperfection, which is what "SubhanAllah" expresses. In everyday use, "tasbih" also refers to dhikr (remembrance of Allah) in general and to the string of prayer beads used for counting it.
