About prayer times in The Hague
The Hague lies at 52.07° N, 4.30° E in South Holland. Clocks there follow the Europe/Amsterdam time zone and change for daylight saving: Central European Standard Time (UTC+1) in winter and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) in summer. Every prayer time on the clock jumps by an hour on the changeover dates, and the timetable above already includes this. Dhuhr, which begins just after the sun passes its highest point, stays between 12:27 PM and 1:50 PM on the clock all year.
The Muslim World League angles with a high-latitude rule are a common default in the Netherlands. With this method Fajr starts when the sun is 18° below the horizon before dawn, and Isha when it reaches 17° after sunset. If your mosque follows a different convention, change the method or the Asr setting above and every table on this page will update.
The seasons make a big difference in The Hague. In 2026, Fajr falls as early as 4:19 AM (15 June) and as late as 6:46 AM (1 January); Maghrib swings from 4:31 PM to 10:07 PM, and Isha can be as late as 11:10 PM. The day (sunrise to sunset) grows from about 7h 44m to 16h 45m.
At 52.07° N, the sun does not sink 18° below the horizon on nights around midsummer, so true night never fully arrives and pure angle-based Fajr and Isha times would not exist or would be impractically far apart. These times apply the "seventh of the night" rule as a limit: Fajr is never earlier than one seventh of the night before sunrise, and Isha never later than one seventh of the night after sunset. Scholars and local mosques differ on high-latitude solutions (some use fixed times or the times of a nearer latitude), so it is worth comparing with your mosque's timetable in summer.
Ramadan 1448 AH: on the Umm al-Qura calendar, Ramadan is expected to run from about 8 February to 8 March 2027; the actual dates depend on moon sighting and may differ by a day in the Netherlands. In The Hague, the first fast would run from Fajr at 6:17 AM to Maghrib at 5:43 PM (about 11h 26m), and by the last day from 5:26 AM to 6:34 PM (about 13h 08m). See the Ramadan guide for more.
The times on this page are the moments each prayer's time begins. On Fridays, Jumu'ah is prayed in congregation in place of Dhuhr. Mosques in The Hague usually announce their own congregation (jama'ah) times, which are set some minutes after the start times shown here.
