About Surah Al-Qadr
Al-Qadr, "The Power" or "The Decree", is a five-verse surah about Laylat al-Qadr, the night on which the Quran was first sent down. It states that this night is better than a thousand months (97:3), that the angels and the Spirit descend in it by the permission of their Lord, and that it is peace until the emergence of dawn.

Arabic text: Uthmani script (Tanzil). English translation: Marmaduke Pickthall (1930, public domain). Transliteration: English transliteration from the Al Quran Cloud API, in a simple English spelling (it writes the Arabic letter dhal as “z”, while the duas on this site write it as “dh”). Audio: Mishary Rashid Alafasy. A translation conveys the meaning of the Quran; it is not the Quran itself.
