2026 covers the Hijri years 1447–1448 AH. Below are the key Islamic dates of 2026, the start of every Hijri month, and a full calendar with the Hijri date for each day.
Calculated with the Umm al-Qura calendar. Where months begin with local moon sighting, dates may be one day later. Each Islamic day begins at sunset on the evening before.
Each day shows the Gregorian date (bold) and the Umm al-Qura Hijri date underneath. The first day of every Hijri month is labelled with the month name, and days with an Islamic event are highlighted. Jump to: Jan · Feb · Mar · Apr · May · Jun · Jul · Aug · Sep · Oct · Nov · Dec

About these dates
The Islamic calendar is lunar, so its months begin with the new crescent moon and each lasts 29 or 30 days. The Umm al-Qura calendar used here is the official calculated calendar of Saudi Arabia. Many Muslims, however, begin Ramadan, Eid and other months based on an actual sighting of the moon, locally or in another country, and their dates can be one day later than the ones above. Please confirm important dates with your local mosque.
Ramadan is expected to begin on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, according to the Umm al-Qura calendar. The first night (Taraweeh) is the evening before. Local moon sighting may put it a day later.
When is Eid al-Fitr 2026?
Eid al-Fitr is expected on Friday, 20 March 2026 (1 Shawwal), subject to moon sighting.
When is Eid al-Adha 2026?
Eid al-Adha is expected on Wednesday, 27 May 2026 (10 Dhul Hijjah), with the Day of Arafah the day before.
