Calculated with the Umm al-Qura calendar. Where months begin with local moon sighting, dates may be one day later. Each Islamic day begins at sunset on the evening before.
Each day shows the Gregorian date (bold) and the Umm al-Qura Hijri date underneath. The first day of every Hijri month is labelled with the month name, and days with an Islamic event are highlighted. Jump to: Jan · Feb · Mar · Apr · May · Jun · Jul · Aug · Sep · Oct · Nov · Dec
The Islamic calendar is lunar, so its months begin with the new crescent moon and each lasts 29 or 30 days. The Umm al-Qura calendar used here is the official calculated calendar of Saudi Arabia. Many Muslims, however, begin Ramadan, Eid and other months based on an actual sighting of the moon, locally or in another country, and their dates can be one day later than the ones above. Please confirm important dates with your local mosque.
Ramadan is expected to begin on Friday, 28 January 2028, according to the Umm al-Qura calendar. The first night (Taraweeh) is the evening before. Local moon sighting may put it a day later.
